Information collected

Hosting and security systems may process your IP address, requested and referring pages, browser and device details, and request time to deliver pages, protect the site, troubleshoot errors, and maintain security logs. The scam-guide search runs in your browser using a local index and does not submit search terms to a search service. If you email us, we receive the information and contact details in your message to respond and handle corrections. Avoid sending sensitive information.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-NFMSLB128V) to understand visits and page use. If you allow analytics, Google may receive page URLs, referrers, events, browser and device information, approximate location, and a pseudonymous browser identifier. Google Analytics can use first-party cookies such as _ga to distinguish browsers and sessions. The Google tag is present on every page with analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Normal page-view events and analytics cookies are disabled unless you choose “Allow analytics.” While consent is denied, Google Consent Mode may send limited cookieless signals. Change your choice using “Privacy settings” in the footer. The choice is stored in this browser for up to six months.

Advertising and AdSense

The site has a Google seller declaration in ads.txt, but the pages reviewed do not contain Google AdSense ad-serving code. The analytics choice is saved in browser local storage. Analytics remains disabled unless you opt in. Hosting or security systems may use necessary storage. Children and external sites

This general educational site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request their personal information. Our links to government resources, providers, and other websites are governed by those sites’ own privacy practices. We may update this policy as services change.
